Splash Pad receives large donation The third annual Glen Jackson Memorial race day raised $8,249 for the Wallaceburg Splash Pad project. The splash pad has now raised $135,000 of their $200,000 goal. Splash pad fundraising organizers said they hope to have a grand opening for the splash pad on July 1 of next year. The memorial race day was scheduled for Sept. 10 at Grand Bend Raceway in honour of Jackson, who died in 2013, and was passionate about cars. Although the date was rained out, participants donated their money to the cause and held a pig roast and held an event on Thanksgiving Monday in St. Thomas. Sponsors of the event included LiUNA! local 1089, Complete Heating and Cooling, Progressive Auto Sales, Progressive Ford and Crabby Joe's. Organizers included Clarence Fields and Glen's sons Jason and Kyle Jackson. http://www.wallaceburgcourierpress.com/2016/11/09/splash-pad-receives-large-donation
